Hello... My name is...

Mrs. Suzanne Carter

...but I usually go by Mrs. Sue Carter.  My husband and I live in Vero Beach, but I'm originally from Massachusetts and he is from Maine.
We have four adult children, all married, and five grandsons; three are in 9th grade this year, one in 7th grade, and one in 5th grade.
I have graduated from Fisher (Jr.) College in Boston, Barry University in Miami Shores, and the University of Maine in Orono.  I've been a counselor, a teacher, an EMT, and a volunteer with the Indian River County Sheriff's Office.  I always seem to work with middle level students in schools, and I'm happiest when I am able to help a student to discover his  or her own talent, gift, or ability.  I most want my students to be eager learners.
This year at SCJH I will work as a Reading Teacher, with students in small groups who need extra help, and expect to be a team member with classroom teachers and parents/guardians of each student.  Let me know how we may help each other help your student.
